ABOUT

      Rebekka

My name is Rebecca Rolon from Springfield, MA. I am a humble, caring, kind Freestyle fan and recording artist in the dance and freestyle industry. I've been a huge freestyle fan since the age of 13.

At the age of 23, I was discovered by Michael Lunn of Pryme Tyme Records. I was a visitor at a radio station in Holyoke, MA. called 103.5. Where I had the pleasure of meeting radio host Jose “CPR” Ortiz and his special guests that he had that day. One which was, Michael Lunn of Pryme Tyme Records who gave me a chance to record in the freestyle industry.

In 1996, I recorded my first song called “You Used To Be Mine”. It was released on Pryme Tyme Records “Freestyle On The Radio” compilation album. This was an exciting, and very interesting experience for me for I never dreamed of an opportunity like this.

“You Used To Be Mine” was produced by the extremely talented,  Edwin Ramos

In. 1999, my talent got noticed from a local artists management company called, “BMP Artists Management” based in Southbridge, MA. With them, I was given the opportunity to work with Willie Valentin and recorded a song called, “Why Oh Why”. It was written by  Angelo Garcia, aka “Freeze”,and Willie Valentin. I was honored to work with Willie for I was quite a fan of his work. “Why Oh Why” was released on Artistik Records “Freestyle Mania Volume 2” compilation album. The song did very well and gave me the opportunity to perform it at various clubs,  and open up for some great artists such as Noel, Cynthia, Lil Suzy, and Latin sensation, Domenic Marte.

From 2000-2007, I took a hiatus from the business to take some personal time.

In 2008, I had the pleasure of working with Willie Valentin once again on another project that included legendary producer, Carlos Berrios. The song was called, “It Was You” and featured background vocals by Synthia Figueroa. “It Was You” was released as a maxi-single on A.D.M. Records. The song opened up a whole new world for me as “It Was You” attracted a lot of attention.

From 2013-2016, I thought that I would change my style. So, I was given the opportunity to work with Sasan Eda, a producer from Germany and owner of Reza Sharp Records.  I did quite a few projects with him. In 2013, I released “Before I Give You My Heart”. “I Should Leave You” in 2014. “Don’t Know Why” in 2015 and “I Finally Found” in 2016. All songs were written by the very talented singer, songwriter, Alfredo Cardona aka “Fred Nice”. “Don’t Know Why” and “I Finally Found” did extremely well for and i was given the opportunity to perform these songs and open up for legendary recording artist George Lamond.

Now in 2017,  I linked up with Javier Ayala, aka “Dr. Javi”. Some of his work includes productions with freestyle artist and groups like “Da Fellaz”, “Touch Of Quality”Willie Valentin and some remixes for other great artists like Julio Mena, Angel Mena. I recorded a song called, “Black & Blue”. It was written by Jasmine Denis and produced by Javier Ayala aka “Dr Javi”.The single is scheduled for release on November 7, 2017. Javier thought that it would be an awesome idea to shoot a music video. This was the first music video that I have ever done and the experience was amazing! The response on social media was very overwhelming.

I am very grateful and honored to have worked with all these talented producers and songwriters.  Each and every one of them have their own specific style in their own unique and creative way.  I am so blessed to have done all of this work.

My goal is to have a full length album of unique, creative, and enjoyable music that my fans can relate to and also do a duet with a well known and respected freestyle artist. I am truly thankful and appreciative to all the fans, producers, and dee-jays for all of their ongoing love and support throughout my freestyle journey.
